This is a practical launch policy for BonDetour. It is not a substitute for legal advice and should be reviewed as the business grows or its data practices change.

Information we collect

When you use BonDetour, we may collect information you provide such as your name, email address, travel dates, traveler details, interests, transportation preferences, destinations, trip notes and other information needed to create or review an itinerary.

We also receive basic technical information associated with use of the website and our service providers, such as browser/device information, request logs and security data.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. BonDetour does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Stripe may collect payment, billing and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy terms.

How we use information

• To generate, save, review and deliver your itinerary.
• To verify purchases and provide paid services.
• To send transactional emails about your order.
• To schedule planning calls when you choose that service.
• To maintain security, troubleshoot problems and improve the service.
• To comply with legal and accounting obligations.

Service providers

BonDetour uses third-party providers to operate the service, including Google/Firebase and Google Cloud for hosting and storage, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email, Google Calendar/Google Meet for planning-call booking, and OpenAI services to help generate itinerary content. Information may be shared with these providers only as reasonably necessary to provide the service.

AI-generated itinerary content

Trip information you submit may be processed by an AI service to generate itinerary suggestions. Do not submit highly sensitive information that is not necessary for trip planning.

Retention

We retain order and itinerary information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, support customers, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion of personal information, subject to records we are required or reasonably need to retain.

Advertising and sale of data

BonDetour does not sell personal information to advertisers. The site is not currently designed around behavioral advertising. Third-party services you interact with may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

Your choices

You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information by emailing hello@bondetour.com. Some information may need to be retained for fraud prevention, accounting or legal purposes.

Children

BonDetour is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or purchase services directly.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
